DD-661 USS Kidd Radio Central Photos

Note - as a museum ship being presented in her August 1945 configuration, Kidd has had some WW2 era gear re-installed and some 1950's Navy gray gear painted black. Her 1950's Radio Central equipment would also have included

• AN/SRR-11 LF/MF Receiver at LOP #1A
• AN/SRR-13A HF Receiver at LOP #1B
• RCA SSB-1 SSB Transceiver (presumably replaced by AN/URC-32)
• TSEC/KWR-37 Crypto Unit in Message Room

I clean forgot to check out the Emergency Radio Room when visiting! Here's info and a photos from the USS Kidd web site 

"Emergency Radio contained radio equipment that was a backup in the event that main Radio Central was destroyed. The equipment in this space is the same as it was during World War II. Two transmitters, a TCS and the large TBL, are present. The two receivers at the operator's table are an RCK-RAL combination."
